Really hope it's streamed live somewhere

Even if they wanted to charge for it to raise even more money for charity that would have been great
Jerry Carino gave me crap for asking yesterday but he checked and it sounds like a no. Bummer as I'd pay $10 for a stream.

Having a charity game on TV would hurt ticket sales. Now, IF, the game sold out far enough in advance you might be able to do a local/regional broadcast.

With Pitino in fold and playing in their on campus bandbox, a sellout should be easy, tv or no tv

I remember last year the Fairfield exhibition game was streaming through a link on Twitter. Hopefully the same happens this year.

No matter the result….good or bad.
No matter the individual performance. Good or bad.

Dont take too much stake in what happens in this game. It is exhibition.

Good luck with that.
As we’re talking about in the other thread - Hyatt hit some 3s in exhibitions overseas and he’s going to be one of our leading scorers and major contributors.

Just make it a pay per view
Probably cost prohibitive from an expense standpoint. The cameramen, PxP and Analyst need to be paid in addition to the director and their staff and that's on top of the usual expenses that come with holding a game (arena staff, officials, scorer's table).

The idea is to keep expenses as low as possible so that the most money can be donated to the charity.

That is true. There were rumors that Rutgers defeated UConn prior to last season.

I think Alvydas Teneys (sp?) had 20/11 vs Marathon Oil one year.
Tenys did some good things and had a very good game vs. Nova one year if I recall correctly. I think he could've been a pretty good college player under different circumstances or in today's game.

Ahh, the old idea of a black out of the game locally to force people to go if they really wanted to see the game. Should try this with football games, it might increase attendance

I'm a basketball first fan but given the fact that our biggest football game in years will be played at the same time, I'll be happy to watch highlights of the exhibition game later

We'll have plenty of time to overreact to the highlights and write off the season after the football game is over.
