I know there is no spread for US bet sites but any offshore line posted yet? Just curious. Would guess RU -42.5

If this isn’t 59-0 we R not a dark horse

I’m confident we will physically dominant them from the start. Only issue is do we connect on big plays early on and lead 21-0 after 1Q ???

If you mean “dark horse” for the national playoff, I think that talk is a bit over the top. There are going to be quite a number of games , maybe 7 or 8 where the point spread could be within 7 pts either way. In my opinion, an 8-4 season would be outstanding. The Vegas o/u for wins is 6.5

Not if you consider their starters have been decent in the past and once the lead exceeds 28 the top RU starters will likely start getting pulled. I'd guess the spread wiil be in the 38-42 range. And if I got Howard +21 for the end of the 1st qtr I'd really consider taking it.

Will there still be a spread with the Hobbs resignation? Or are gambling sites taking bets on us again?

Lets not put the horse before the cart, last season Northwestern beat them 23-20. Northwestern finished 8-5

Although I would rather not see 23-20, I'm not going to get too crazy over the score. We would go up say, 31-10 and then sit a bunch of people and call vanilla plays (cue the anti-GS crowd to come here and say, "Isn't that what we always call?" Spare us, please.) Either way the goal is to obviously to win the game, but also not show too much and most important, stay healthy.

I wouldn't put too much weight on the final score. But what I want to see is the offense drive down the field and score on its first possession. Maybe even its 2, 3 and 4th possession.

Since the 1990s I have have a standing bet on every RU game with a friend I used to work with.
This year's the same .
We decided since most games like Howard didn't have spread published in local paper I would give him 40 points.
This year will give Howard& 40, even though I found this

Consensus
308921 Howard +34.5 -110 N/A +37.5 -110

Rutgers Scarlet Knights
308922 Rutgers
-34.5 -110 N/A -37.5 -110

showing RU-34.5 the best spread for me and RU-37.5 that's still better than the 40 I'll be giving
because that's the way it has been for over 30 years

I would worry a lot if it is at anytime, close...unless they sneak in a crazy 1st quarter TD on a return, Int etc.

We should win by 35 or so - 59 -0 or be worried, is just not reasonable for our team. Greg does not run these types of games up even though most of the "elites" do.

We play the game very vanilla, pull starters early and we are not an explosive offense- so even if we are scoring on 80% of our drives, most of those drives will be taking 5+ minutes

wish I could remember games like Howard and how often RU beat a 40 point the spread.
But , if memory serves me correct, RU beat that spread a majority of the time , in good seasons or a bad one

With what you posted and off the top of my head: I lost mere of of the FCS (D-1AA) match-ups than I won.
Since the bet me and fried has is so small ( trash-talk rights being the big thing) I tend to forget
the years I won bragging rights or lost them .
Heck if memory serves me correct there were a few yeas RU was so bad that they received a big spread every game and even though RU lost most of the games I come out a winner when it was time to pay.
But couldn't really brag about the season.
When talking about the type of season Rutgers had ( during some real bad years that I came out ahead) I only could come up with a lame remark like : who had to reach in their wallet in an effort to stop the laughter

The Howard game will be close in the 1st Half with RU pulling away in the 2nd Half. Probably a 28 point win.
Howard is no pushover. They won 6 games last year and only lost by 3 points at Northwestern.

I think you mean Howard.
Would love to see a 40 point win but don’t think we will see it in AK’s first game and new LB’s adjusting with Toure out and Powell not playing.
