Started the season with a 5-game losing streak, but they've won 2 in a row over OSU and IUPUI. Now in their 5th season under Paul Lusk, who's 54-76 in 5 seasons. The new rules have forced them to speed up, but they've been one of the slowest teams in the country every year under Lusk.

The good news is that Marcus Marshall is gone. He scored 36 in the Reynolds Center last year in one of the most impressive shooting displays I've seen. They don't really have any great shooters in his stead, so our base defense should be fine.

This isn't a very good team, but it's a road game against an opponent that prefers to grind it out, which is always tough. Can't afford to lay an egg here. Just speed the game up, don't settle for jacking up 3s, and I expect a win.

When's the last time we've won in Springfield? It seems like we always find a way to lose up there.

Pro tip: watching on the iPad on the treadmill helps funnel energy.

Gotta behave myself at the Y though.

Announcers don't think Van Vleet played against us.

Bush league but at least I can watch it.

Sometimes college basketball is like the whisper game. Commentators are now saying VanVleet didn't play for WSU against us.

Where has this team been? Mo State is an actual slouch, but this is an encouraging start. Of course, we also looked really good in the first half against Yooler.

Good half on the road and a 10 point lead. Swannegan and Woodard were the top two players in the half IMO.

I personally think it's a dangerous lead. They seem more active, and we seem a little bit lucky. Could go either way, have to start the second half with more poise, and more aggression.

How can we simultaneously be so bad at defending the 3 and foul so many 3 point shooters?
