Southern Scuffle article

Just read the scuffle article on flo. No mention of Joe’s return at all.

The wrestling media generally avoids Joe as a topic. G, Markus Simmons & Neal Putnam were all discussed as possibly being at the Scuffle, yet Joe wasn't even mentioned.

Sometimes it feels like we wrestling fans are missing the boat with our current in season tournaments. The Midlands used to be amazing, The Great Plains was fun for a while. The Scuffle was arguably the best of them all just 3 or 4 years ago. As magnificent as the Big 10 and NCAA Championships are it seems like we should be able to have something that gets our juices flowing in season too.

It was like in high school we had the Geary tournament in OK to gauge where the quality wrestlers were. I think the Scuffle does the same thing. Also it gets wrestlers and families an opportunity to get out of the cold winter weather for a bit during Christmas break.
I do wish that we would also push back wrestling season to only happen in the second semester so college athletes are not competing and pulling (water) weight during fall finals.

We may be disappointed in the southern scuffle over midlands. But Ou not taking their ranked starters to midlands is a head scratcher.
