Vegas has UConn installed as an 8.5 point favorite over this terrible club which has not won an AAC game and has occupied the bottom of the conference standings for a while now. Needless to say it's a game UConn has to win, shorthanded or not. A blowout win would be nice but I will be satisfied if UConn just covers the spread.

I think we have a chance to be really good next year with JA running the show. He keeps getting better and better.

Adams has played really well tonight and UConn is 12-19 on 3s which is their best 3 point shooting performance of the year. However I think USF is a weak club on defense.

USF is 6-12 for a reason, however, The ball movement is better against the zone and that has a lot to do with Jalen.

Best 5 minute stretch of the year.

Facey is having a really good season, but he's turning into the right handed Johnny Selvy. The ball goes in, but never comes back. ;)

Jalen had a superb game and considering UConn is playing with 6 guys, that was one exceptionally strong closeout.

You can't ever allow a team like this to get their first league win against you. A loss could have been devastating but UConn took care of business and blew out the spread

Since Vitale hit the 2 FTs to beat Syracuse I knew this kid was going to be a tough competitor and productive. His shooting has not been good up until now but I think we are starting to see the real CV. He will be a good 3 point shooter the rest of his UConn career.

True KSTW it is only vs. struggling USF.....Let the kids keep getting more confidence...Jalen don't get to many accolades( NBA ?) and get Okafor or somebody to work with Enoch over the summer, and this season wont be a complete waste

True on all points....and Yeah did your hear Huckaby several times mention Facey ( and Brimah) need to kick it back out when they get doubled/tripled down low or grab a offensive rebound in traffic. In Brimah's case I don't think he can keep his body under control long enough if somebody breaths on him to make a pass . LOL ! Sometimes he looks like he's playing volleyball with the rock on offense!

This was actually USF's worst home loss this season, and the only worse loss they had on the road was by 22 at UCF.

Yes, it was against a weak opponent like USF but its not just been that game were JA is clearly the best player on the floor. It could just be me being a biased fan though.

The JA statement is right on, I think most have been saying it since the season started, anything good the offense does needs to go through JA. That's why I think it's nuts when KO has Jalen running the baseline 40 feet from the ball in his motion offense. He's the only one reliable enough to run the offense when pressured. I think they lost one game because KO set up a play with CV at the wheel (in the last minute) & by the time JA ran off his screens at the baseline..the ball was already stolen. Then we know when Purvis is trying to facilitate it's a TO waiting to happen. It's not that complicated ...KO can still run offense but keep Jalen on the ball because the longer and farther he is away from it ...the worst chance there is that something will go wrong.

He wasn't a shooter in high school. A lot of great shooters weren't themselves as freshman. Vital is gonna be a stud. I think he plays more than MAL next year.

I agree about Vital. I liked him and his body language from day one. He has good body language and plays hard. Kids like this who are at least solid athletes become players. Vital has the requisite stroke and toughness to be a very good player. I envision him being first guard off the bench and an eventual starter. He has been up and down but has had some very good games and the benefit of the Gilbert injury has been that this kid has been allowed to be developed and he is developing. I like him and I like Jackson and I like Durham.

Brimah pass? Lol.

Facey seems to have enough B ball IQ and body control to find a red hot Vital or Jackson if his first and second move are detoured. You love his confidence as a senior, but if you can get your teammates a better shot, do it.
