And UM takes Michigan, instead of MSU. Also Texas Tech takes Texas, and Duke, unfortunately, takes North Carolina. IU takes Indiana and ND is nowhere to be seen, which makes it a nice map to look at.

Duke I suspect has a substantial following outside of NC which puts them over UNC in total following.
Stopped looking after I saw Villanova over penn state. Just silly.

I think this map is related to basketball, not all sports.
The data in this map is wrong. I couldn’t believe Texas Tech would best Texas so I looked and Texas has 12k more followers than Tech. So I question the validity of this.
Yup, it is accurate. Texas Tech has 211k on all 3 combined while Texas has just 149k. The big difference is FB, though Texas Tech still comes out on top when you combine just IG and Twitter.
Never been to Lubbock, but I have seen pictures of the campus and love the style of their buildings. By the way, Lubbock is one of the best towns in the country for live music.
