Are we supposed to celebrate when a player announces they are "returning" to South Carolina for the next year?

I didn't think about it until someone mentioned it but I think a lot of the announcing a return has to do with the agents and the fact that agents now get a commission just for a player to come back to school for another year.
Now I am not saying that the announcement has to be done for the agent to get paid. But just that it all sort of is part of the song and dance for everyone to get their piece of the pie.

I have decided to return next football season as a poster on fighting gamecock central. After much discussion with my family and my agent, this seems to be in my best interest.

No, celebrating would be weird. In this new era of college football, though, we can and should be glad when guys do return.
I was going to thank God to mimic all of the players, but it felt wrong as part of my joke.
My strength and conditioning coach has given me the ability to withstand that. I appreciate your concern and fans like you are the reason I’m returning. I love gamecock nation.
