He's going to have a career similar to Christian Okoye, the Nigerian Nightmare. He's fun to watch but his playing style is going to shorten his career. Heard Skattebo described as tackling a fire hydrant. Good stuff!
Maybe he won’t last long, but Jerome Bettis and Mike Alstott played a combined 25 years and those dudes played much more physical than Skattebo. I was thinking last night during the game that Skattebo was born 25 years late.
I think we just say "Nightmare" now.
Bettis was actually very athletic for his size and didn't rely on collisions as much as one would think. I remember Alstott as a fullback who caught more passes and was never the featured runner in an NFL offense. Come to think of it, both of those guys were fullbacks in college. Actually, Skattebo is getting into the NFL at the perfect time since so many NFL teams are playing base nickel. There are very few big hitting run stuffers compared to years ago. So maybe you are right and he'll have a longer career.

Alstott had one season where he averaged over 15 touches a game. You are correct, they are completely different players.
old school hard nosed football player but really athletic to. wish we had a guy like him to be a 1 2 punch with ej.
Anything they get from him is a plus. I hope he does well though cause he's tough as hell. The Bettis comparison is horrible tho. Big as he was he had great feet and rarely ever had head on collisions. Even still if they get 4or 5 years it's a plus. Just enjoy him while he's there.
