Yes very strange. His brother CJ went to Nebraska and then did 5th year at A&M to play for Buzz. Family was originally from Plainfield NJ I think. Simeon went to Roselle Catholic where Cliff went. But I think you’re right. They must have an agenda against RU or Pike and coaching staff.
Recruiting notes show he decommitted from UNC and STJ roster bio says he came to play for Pitino and the Redmen to be closer to home. You can’t be any closer to home than RU.

When Nebraska played us a few years ago at the RAC and his brother played, this kid was at Roselle Catholic and sat right behind me in Section 113.
It goes both ways. From what I understand, the family and Rutgers are just not a good fit. They both want different things.
