Didn’t see this mentioned but Ameer had a career high 115 yards yesterday. First NFL 100 yard rushing game. Threw in another 32 yards receiving.

Hurt his foot on the first play of the 4th quarter and did not return.

Congrats to one of my favorite Huskers of all time. To make it 10 years in the league as a running back is pretty special. To have a career day after 10 years is amazing.

He’s really carved out a great career for himself. Watched him play yesterday on Sunday Ticket. He’s still the same guy- reading blocks and sliding off tackles.

There is also a 401k with a 2-1 match up to $30k per year, that players can opt into. Players with 2 or more credited seasons can put away nearly $50k per year. There is also the NFL Player Capital Accumulation Plan, the NFL Player Tax-Qualified Annuity Plan and the NFL Player Annuity Program that the league and clubs contribute to. Then there is the Health Credits into their health account in the Gene Upshaw NFL Player Health Reimbursement Account Plan. Those are just the investments the league and clubs contribute to. If a player does what they are supposed to do, they can be set up for retirement even only playing a relatively short period of time.
