I watched some of the first half of last night's game and was totally unimpressed with either team. I haven't seen Georgetown play at all this year, so I was pretty shocked and how bad they looked. Other than decent rebounding their offense looked like a mason convention throwing up bricks left and right. SHU is SHU, they can be either very hot or very cold.

Hope to be unimpressed with us like that some day

Georgetown looked terrible to me. Govan was their only shinning light and he scored well over 20, I think about 27 but for his height only had 6 rebounds. Delgado seemed to push him around a bit. SHU is tough and usually don't back down. They played very good defense and Whitehead seems to be doing much better. I think SHU makes the dance unless they totally fall apart. Their sophs are playing well together.

GTown is for the first time, without another guard that can score....usually they have at least 2 or maybe 3 guards, but it's Smith-Rivera and that's about it.....it's a really strange conference because I thought it would be 5 or 6 teams fighting for that next level after Nova and Xavier, but overall it seems to be a conference that is leveling off considerably....Providence is free-falling fast, while the Butler's, Creighton's, Providences, Seton Hall types fight for that next level of finishing 3rd or 4th in the league. Providence, once ranked as high as #4 in the country sometime earlier in the year, may fall out of NCAA consideration altogether, if they are not careful.

The bottom two of the conference DePaul and St. John's are going to feed the rest of the conference with a respectable conference record. It's going to be a fun 3 weeks the rest of the way to see these teams sort themselves out in this conference and other leagues like the Big 12, SEC and Pac 12 as well.

SHU is pretty good team. The pieces they have fit together nicely.

I haven't seen much of SHU or Georgetown this year but I did catch a good chunk of that game last night. I thought SHU gave them a hard time with defense that was stifling in spurts.

If JT3 was named John Smith, he would have been gone by now. The fan based has been getting tired of his lack of results for some time now. Gtown recruits very well, they have been highly ranked, but the fans are sick and tired of the Princeton offense. Even when they had Otto Porter, they had games they won where they barely scored 40 pts. I love watching all the BE games as well as BIG and ACC, but Gtown under JT3 is just not watchable for me.

Watching on TV, there appeared to be lots of empty seats. Seemed like a decent matchup. Were there weather issues in the DC area?

If you want to watch entertaining college basketball ,last nights game between Duke and North Carolina was worth the 9 pm. start.Hall of Fame head coaches and elite players at every position going back and forth in front of a sellout crowd at NC.Duke won by a point which continues their recent mastery in the series.

For me I like to have a rooting interest in a game when I watch it -- either for or against one of the teams. The only way I could have enjoyed Duke/NC was if they both lost!

I don't root for either of them but no question that Duke-UNC is the best rivalry in college basketball.

Duke showed great toughness last night by hanging around when they were being outplayed and hitting the key shots in the last 5 minutes.

Frankly the best ACC team I've seen this year is Miami.

Was at the SHU Gtown game last night. Place was empty. Feels like fans have given up. We had one small section behind the SHU bench and we made more noise than the rest of the arena. JT is leading them to being irrelevant and we NEED them to be good.

I thought Georgetown is always somewhat offensively challenged. They do seem to have fallen a notch nationally.
