I'm looking to purchase a new laptop. I like the 2-n-1 laptops. My question is this: How much internal memory is good for fast Internet and programs running? I see some range from 8GB to 16 GB of internal memory. I plan on getting something with a lot of storage space as well, but don't want to get 16GB of internal memory if 12 GB is enough.

Thanks for anyone posting their experiences with certain brands, too. I like the Lenovo 2-n-1 a lot.

I was in this same situation earlier this year and pulled the trigger on a MacPro. A little pricey and certainly not worth it but I have come to really enjoy it especially watching movies/videos, etc. It took a little getting used to since I grew up on PC. I am very thankful I made the switch. I also bought a 1-2 TB WD passport external hard drive for something like $59 dollars to back up photo, etc. as I learned a hard/painful lesson in not backing up pictures on a droid and during an update most of the pictures were erased. Verizon couldn't fix it. I back them up now.

My adult children have MacPros/Air so I have them to teach me whatever I need to know.

That's what I have now, but it is going on 9 years old. I've noticed it has started acting a little weird. They are great computers. As for the external hard drives, you can get the small easily transportable external drives for much cheaper than that. I buy the 64GB Imation brand off of eBay for less than $30 each for my videos and photos.
