I think he deserved his own thread. He was the unsung hero of the game tonight. His toughness, 10 rebounds, blocks , should not be underestimated in the win. He stopped their big guy all night . He went out of the game , and Duke came in and their big guy posted Duke and got 2 easy buckets when Miami was struggling to make every bucket. Shaquille got put back in the game and immediately that stopped. Plus his denial of the angle so they could not feed their big guy all night was outstanding. This was even more important as Myles struggled a little with his shot and his decisions . Myles had a dunk or an easy layin on a nice pass but instead threw it to the wing out of bounds looking for a three. Again props to Shaquille whose stamina looks better game after game as we will need him to guard in the Big. Need Pike to run a set for him once in a while and get a little jump hook to drop.

SHAQ had a great defensive game and hopefully he and Myles can contribute some points which will be needed in future games.

Great points about Doorson. We also really need to make a better effort to get him the ball down low on offense. The guy is shooting 93% thus far this year from the field and got no touches last night. Now, FTs, that's a whole different story!

Shaq Doorson leads the entire nation (yes #1 in the country) in FG % shooting 92.9% Obviously not a volume guy but that alone proves he rarely makes bad decisions along with the toughness, defense, and rebounding that you mentioned

He is playing great. His foul shooting must be his worrying too much about them as I have been to 7 practices and every time that they stop and shoot foul shots he is almost automatic. Twice I saw him make 15 of 16. Hopefully he can begin to relax on the line and make them in the game.

Thanks for honoring Shaq with his own thread. He definitely deserves it, not just for this game or this season but for his dedication, loyalty and hard work. The guy transformed his body and overcame injuries to make this his best season on the banks. He’s a beast out there, with good court sense who makes very few mistakes. To see how Pike now counts on Shaq is awesome.

He's finally healthy. Too bad we didn't get four healthy years out of him. He's a quality player except he went to the Rashod Kent school of free throw shooting.

He's setting some huge brick-wall picks up top for Geo, too. I'm waiting for some point guard to not see it coming and run into a solid wall.

I am pleasantly surprised the impact he is having. He showed me the most vs. BU playing against a 6'8'' guy and showing he deserved to be on the floor. Might me more than a match up guy.

Shows how huge it is having a fifth year senior stay in the program. Through everything this program has gone through, transfers out have been killers. We've relied on freshman way too much.

Especially these project guys, they need a lot of time and coaching.

this definitely happened last night. Not sure which Miami guard it was, but he ended up on the floor

Yeah, I love seeing those. Setting picks (without a the roll) are a true measure of unselfishness & teamwork.

Great thread - so nice to see him finally healthy and playing so much better, especially on D - need to get him the ball inside a few times, though (not his fault).
