Just came back from the pharmacy. Older guy in front of me wearing a SH cap. I complimented the team on the win last night against Butler. He returned props about our win over IU, but then launched into praise over the return of Schiano. He seemed pretty up to date on RU football and basketball. Since we're in New Rochelle, we chatted about the terrible season Iona is having. Nice chat.

Ha! Nope. But Lou Gehrig once lived here. A few years ago the house he owned (and reportedly did some work on himself) was up for sale. I might have been tempted, but my better and smarter half persevered. As a lifelong Yankee fan (my father, who was significantly older than my mother, started following the Highlanders around 1913), it would have been very cool to own the house that Gehrig lived in.
