" The feeling is it's Carrington's turn to be the lead guy, and there are concerns about not having enough balls to go around with all the talent the Pirates have on board for 2017-18

Pretty strong feelings about his team from Carino.

You meant "this" team, right? Jerry is an objective NJ guy. I wouldn't say SHU is "his team".

McNight provides a good transition after 4 starters graduate this year. He brings added experience as a two year starter to a new young group of players.

Yes, he is a great guy and has been more than fair to RU and all the other NJ college teams. I have known Jerry since he ran cross country for Old Bridge in ninth grade. I was a cross country coach at a high school in Middlesex County for 36 years. We have been friends for ages.

I've know him my entire life. Great person and great family. Of course he's a seton hall fan. He went there. But he clearly likes our coach and wants Rutgers to do well as it makes his job more interesting.

That would explain why he actually wanted to cover high school track all those years ...

I don't know him. Never met him. But I do think he is the fairest least biased sports writer covering NJ CBB. And unlike the hacks at NSL and Zags he only writes what he knows to be true. He will never fabricate anything. I reach this conclusion from having read his work for the last 10 years. I'd say he has been fairer to RU than your own fellow alum Lucci.
