The Senior World Championships are this week in Paris. Some Oklahoma ties - John Smith is an assistant coach for the women's team, Coleman Scott is an assistant for the men's team, and Choctaw's Becka Leathers will compete at 55 kg. Go USA!

two going for medals today! The Hall of Fame is hosting a watch party I believe open to all. Medal matches begin at noon, Becca Leathers from Choctaw should be first up, with Helen being the 6th match I believe.

Leathers wins Bronze, and Helen with her 5th TF of the tournament, without giving up a point. 3rd world gold in a row. Awesome to watch.

Not sure if anyone knows this or not but channel 733 on Cox/OKC is showing the medal matches at noon with replays at 9pm for those of us that have to work

Alli Ragan fell to Risako Kawai (JPN) by tech 13-0 at 60 kg and won silver
Victoria Anthony fell to Sonhyang Kim (PRK) by tech 11-1 at 48 kg in the bronze match and finished 5th

USA and Belarus tied for 2nd behind Japan

Today, MFS day 1 medal rounds:
Thomas Gilman falls to Yuki Takahashi (JPN) 6-0 at 57 kg and wins silver
J'Den Cox dec Mihail Petrov Ganev (BUL) 8-0 at 86 kg and wins bronze
Nick Gwiazdowski dec Zolboo Natsagsuren (MGL) 5-1 at 125 kg and wins bronze

Logan Stieber went 1-2 at 61 kg and did not medal (he had a brutal draw)

USA MFS is in 1st over Russia after day 1. Wrestling tomorrow are Retherford 65 kg, Green 70 kg, Burroughs 74 kg, Snyder 97 kg.

I am not educated on what the rest of the world has at the remaining weights but USA has some of their best still left to wrestle. Great start and hoping for a great finish. Proud of all of these Americans!

Wow, just wow. Team USA won the MFS tournament over Russia by 1 point.

Yesterday's Day 2 medal results:
James Green fell to Frank Chamizo (ITA) 8-0 at 70 kg and won silver
Jordan Burroughs dec Khetik Tsabolov (RUS) 9-6 at 74 kg and won gold
J'Den Cox dec Mihail Ganev (BUL) 8-0 at 86 kg and won bronze
Kyle Snyder dec Abdulrashi Sadulaev (RUS) 6-5 at 97 kg and won gold

Zain Retherford went 1-1 at 65 kg and did not medal
