Whatever the number, I hope the Hawkeyes and their fans send the orange ones home feeling very, very, very blue. Damn, I hate Illinois
Already surpassed UCLA yep. 14k plus I think if not sold out.
Only about 300 tix left in the far upper reaches as of 4 p.m. Saturday, spread across several end zone sections. Student sections sold out, even though classes don't start until Jan. 20. It's gonna be about 15,000, and I hope everyone's in full voice well before the opening tip. All that emotion you've been bottling up, well, this is the place to unleash it all, and the Illini deserve to hear it. Send the orange home blue. Ben and the boys deserve every ounce of energy the fans can give them.
I'd love to be there. We had season tickets for decades starting back at the old Field House when we were students . Unfortunately, we'll be cheering from 1,500 miles away today, but they still might be able to hear us in Iowa City. It would be such a huge win for Ben and the boys today for so many reasons. Let's go get it!
