Get some stronger meds.

Yeah, because I'm the one making stupid *** comments trying to link people together on message boards. It takes a special kind of person to spend their life doing that.

Now back to the topic....

This will very much so help our OL in this system!

I have already lowered myself by talking to someone with mental problems. Go back to your make believe world. I won’t be following you there. 🍻

I don't see the point of this, but why not I guess. If he helps us win one more game, I guess it's been worth it. Seems to me like we've got Parker, Reese, Sharp, Eiland and Stanic, with it being pretty well known that Smith will take over at center, coupled with a bunch of backups. Seems like we are thin in the junior class, not the senior class. We will have a lot of juniors and sophomores playing in 2021.

Why do I care about 2 years from now? Because OL is the heart of your football team, and you need to stay consistent there and always have balanced classes. Young OLs get your *** beat in the SEC (as does young DLs).

As banged up as our OL was throughout the season, I would say it helps with depth if nothing else. Cross is a stud but lacks experience. Lashley could be that bridge. Another aspect is that Cross could be red shirted if needs be. I don't think that's the case personally, but just pointing out that there are many reasons to get him in.

Cross already redshirted this past year.

At the end of the day, we need the 2018 class to step up and be ready in 2021 as redshirt juniors. That’s Smith, Dolla Bill and Kam Jones. Be nice if we could get something out of Suggs as a Senior too. I don’t want to have to rely on Cross, Cunningham, Pendley and Brevyn Jones as redshirt sophomores.

I thought he played in more than 4 games. But you are right. He only played in 3

If our coaches want him then I'm glad we have him. A shame he didn't come here to start with. Pretty amazing to think there is very good chance that both Scott Lashley and Cole Smith will start this year or play major roles on our OL and they are both guys with deep ties to MSU that Hevesy managed to totally repel during the recruiting process.

I just don’t get all the demeaning on this board. If someone comments on something and you don’t like it then just move along after all we’re pulling for the same school even it doesn’t seem like it with the hatred on here. As far as Lashley goes, what does it hurt that he’s coming here? I for one welcome it as far as depth goes. You just never know. So what if he spurned us at the beginning, get over it.

He will be the difference between a 6 win season and an 8 win season....since wild speculation is expected

Nothing to lose except an initial scholarship, anyway.

An initial scholarship that was going to go unused anyway, unless we add 5 signees in the late period (not likely) AND have zero attrition before August 1st (even less likely).

We’re probably coming up on a decade since the last time we actually entered the Fall with anywhere close to 85 scholarship players.

Yes, welcome home Scott. I'm pretty sure Coach will figure out if he is worth a scholarship by next fall, just like Cole Smith.

There is nothing wrong with having more OL depth considering the style of offense the Pirate runs.
