Unlike last year and prior years, the offensive scoring is coming from as many as 4 or 5 players. Previously , if Sanders or Freeman went into a scoring drought , Rutgers hada difficult time scoring. So far this year, scoring is coming from as many as 4-5 players , including Baker , Williams , and Omoruryi . Good news for Rutgers that it's not as dependent as in prior years on just a few players.

And - as the young players, who appear to be a big part of this years squad, get more accustomed to the speed of the college game and also get more comfortable with each other it should improve.

Yea 4 players had 10 points last night and Mike had 8, so really a good distribution. Once the B1G comes around, some will go but some will come so hopefully we play to our strengths. ie. Thiam & Mike (and Geo) from 3, Corey with the dribble drives, Freeman or Omoruyi on the dish inside, etc.

I'm interested to see the development of Doucoure. He hit some shots, showing a little range (elbow jumper). Plus some inside moves. The more he develops his game the more it will open things the perimeter guys.

This stat to me is about a coaching staff that actually develops its players. Very excited to see what Doucore, Baker, Thaim and Eugene look like as Juniors and Seniors with the new talent coming in next year and hopefully the year afterwards.

Its too soon to make judgments regarding scoring prowess because the opposition has been so weak in the first 3 games. What I do know is that opponents will play zone more often against Rutgers forcing 3 pointers as the shot clock winds down.

Super excited about Doucore. His foul troubles look to be easily correctable. He's very close to making solid defensive plays, but he's a little overly enthusiastic, nervous, unsure of where to be. Love his energy, athleticism, size, power, and what appears to be a decent touch shooting the ball. HUGE upside. Depending on his ability to learn from his mistakes, it's possible he becomes a major contributor by the end of the season. IMO, he's our X factor if we want to sniff the post-season.

Well, we have scored 70 plus in 3 for 3....so there is hope and we have NOT shot well from outside....and we have got really good looks from outside

Optimsitc that we will make those open looks at a higher rate...even though when the compettion gets tougher, we will get fewer of those open looks

During the B1G schedule we will see the defense our opponent plays best. That will be man most of the time.

I really hope we reduce the "drain the clock and have Sanders go iso with 8 seconds left on the shot clock".

He can't shoot free throws and we have guys that look like they can hit an open shot.

Will we work our offense and look for a quality look throughout the shot clock, not waiting until there are 10 seconds left?

With a 30 second shot clock it isn't easy. That's why when Freeman has an open 17 footer i don't want him hesitating. B1G time be prepared to have 1/4 of the possessions with the ball in sanders hands with 8 seconds left.
