Nebraska has a much better offensive line, running game, and overall talent/ experience at QB. Iowa has a better defense.

According to the ESPN FPI, Iowa currently has the 65th most efficient offense, 28th ranked defense, and the 4th best special teams efficiency in the country.

The FPI ranks Nebraska 17th in offensive efficiency, and 55th in defensive efficiency. Northwestern is currently ranked 2nd in Defensive Efficiency and 36th in offensive efficiency.


This game will simply come down to the line of scrimmage. Both teams will try to stop the run. Nebraska's offensive line will be the biggest and most experienced unit Northwestern faces all season, even more so than Wisconsin (if that game is played). Northwestern will have the best defensive front 7 the Huskers see the rest of the season.
