It's a follow-the-leader thing. Many don't even know why they don't like him, but they heard it somewhere so here come the torches and pitchforks.I don’t live in Mississippi (miss it every day) but most of my family still does. They’re a pretty conservative bunch, and almost unanimously do not approve of Tate. Is he gonna be a one-term guy?

I don't love him, and I'm not sure how many great things he will end up doing, but he won't do many things wrong either.
The left hates him because he didn't shut things down soon enough. The right hates him for shutting them down too long. I'm more irritated that he (and others) caved to the left, which involved flip-flopping from 'its not a big deal' to 'its life threatening'.
I mean 25,000 people have died from this over the last six weeks in the US alone. All politics aside, to me, that's the very definition of "life threatening." Anybody who doesn't take that position at this point is a moron.
Think what the number would be if they weren’t fudging the numbers. Anybody who says they aren’t at this point is a moron.

With the way the data is being recorded the numbers are being fudged to be lower than they actually are, not higher. But keep on with your conspiracies.
As bad as 25000 is. Just imagine where we’d be if we hadn’t shut everything down.
What good does fudging our own numbers do us? I assume you are suggesting that we(the US) are putting out numbers below the actual numbers. The CDC putting out numbers less than what they really are only makes the public think this isn’t as serious as it really is. Thus tempting them to go back to little to no social distancing which would lead to more spreading of the virus.

We are overestimating deaths, not under. Dr Birx said if someone dies that has tested positive, covid is the automatic cause of death.
The hospitals are getting government funding assistance in dealing with Covid patients and deaths. It is becoming lucrative for hospitals to find a way to code admissions and deaths with Covid.
Most non metro area hospitals are hurting financially right now, so seems logical that they would err on the side of over reporting.

You might want to re-think your position there slick. Ignorance reins supreme.Think what the number would be if they weren’t fudging the numbers. Anybody who says they aren’t at this point is a moron.
If someone has Covid but gets run over by a truck I can see your point... but in the real world we are underestimating deaths.
Exactly. If anyone knows how to game money in our country, it's the hospital system. They charge $30 for a pill of aspiring...cuz they can.

Hospitals have had huge reductions in volume because of COVID-19 cancellation of procedures. Also, oddly enough, even ER visits are down. People are scared to go to hospitals and clinics now.
