Seems like all we need is the number one pg in the country and maybe we finally beat Tennessee!

Stringer is a Hall of Fame coach because she has been able to recruit top 100 players on a consistent basis.Adapting to the importance of the 3 point shot is still a work in progress.A Pondexter or Prince type shooter would put Rutgers back in top 10 rankings.

We might already have that in Alexis Morris.

We keep hearing this. But we have recruited and had a bunch of 3 point shooters over the last several years. They took 16 3s in the exhibition yesterday. Noga, Danielle and Alexis are excellent 3 point shooters (yesterday notwithstanding). We don’t simply live or die by the 3 like some schools.

Disagree, JMHO, Cappie, and Piph were built way different than Alexis(haven't seen her in person yet). They are around 5'8 to 5'9" and SOLID, Piph is listed as 5'9", and 179lbs. Alexis is listed as around 5'6" and looks to be around 150lb.

CVS has recruited and had 3-point shooters at RU for decades. Piph and Cappie, while good (and in Cappie's case, very good) 3-pt shooters, were dangerous because they were all around scoring threats--slashing to the basket, in transition, midrange, and long range. They were both first team all Americans and top 5 WNBA Draft picks--of course, it would be great to get another player like them--but they don't come around every day.

If you're talking about a 3-pt specialist, we already have one on the team in Noga--who shot a very solid 38% from 3 as a freshmen on over 100 attempts.

Who did we play in the exhibition and how did we do?
