RU up 12-6, 2:55 1st quarter. RU started out sluggish, but is picking things up a bit now. A few missed calls by the refs..

Ladies should be up by far more. The color commentator who I forget her name, has been calling missed travels all second quarter. I'd have to go back and rewatch but she definitely called out for at least 3. Ladies are hot though from 3 and playing good D keep it up and tire them out.

Ladies are just getting nothing called for them wisconsin is pushing all over the place to get rebounds and nothing is getting called, but they didn't give up a basket so lead still at 12

Very scrappy game start to finish. Wisconsin now going for fouls to try to get the ball back. Ladies played solid start to finish and got a good W even if it was against a subpar Wisconsin

Congrats to the team on a pretty decisive victory, to me thats whats impressive. Wisky is always a bad program but RU like they did against PSU jumped on them and didnt let up. How many times in the last few years with twice the talent did RU let teams come back into the games and had to make us sweat it out....2-1 to start the season in league...cannot argue with that. Looks like shots are starting to fall. Yes the schedule gets tougher but Im feeling that the Big 10 is really having a down year with quite a few programs like Minny, Nebby, Iowa having down years and the usual bottom feeders like Wisky and Illini probably ending up at the bottom too.

That's a nice game all around. Sure, the Badgers are not very good, but they never played a quarter worse than basically even, withstood a little run in the 4th quarter and then pushed the margin back to something comfortable, shot well from everywhere (particularly from 3, but also 9-11 on free throws), and had 20 assists on 24 made baskets. It gets tougher soon, but as bac says, 2-1 in the B1G is something you can't argue with.

Agree that the officiating was a little one-sided but they overcame it. A couple observations:

1. There is no quit in this team. They are beginning to play all 40.
2. They have finally realized that there is no Tyler or Kahleah to bail them out and are looking to score.
3. They play CVS defense 12 or 13 steals again tonight.
4. The improvement from early season until now is amazing.
5. One of the quicker teams we've had in recent memory.
6. They don't seem to get many rebounds but do scrap under the boards when it counts.

They have played much tougher than I thought they were capable of playing. I'll still say that the players on the bench not eligible to play are probably as good or better than the team on the floor. Looking forward to next year.

I'm happy with the win
[banana]:cool2:[thumb2][cheers]

Not so long ago some might have thought Wisconsin should be favored to win.
Looks like the team is starting to improve and that's a good thing

Woooo 3 point shooting was on fire tonight. Someone said most 3 pointers since 2006, crowd wasn't great today but couldn't be happier with the teams effort and result

What a turn around since the break. This team has no quit in it. Great defensive effort which was needed since it was obvious we were going to get out rebounded. How many steals did we have (17?). Offense was on fire plus we actually made our free throws. Their coach playing the refs all game and getting all the calls even phantom calls...do the refs know what a travel is ? There was one play that even Wisconsin thought was going against them and were confused when they got the ball! June needs to stay out of foul trouble...dumb plays although the offensive call against her was a joke!

RU with 14 steals and causing 22 turnovers to RU'S 15 helped overcome Wisconsin rebounding edge . But the way the team put it in the hoop was an unexpected plus

Can Stringer teach the mens team how to shoot a 3?

It is amazing how bad the women's team was from 3 for many years, and all of a sudden, are scoring them in bunches, which is EXACTLY what Pikiell needs.

With the lack of depth I am very pleased to see the recent turn around especially seeing the team make 3 point shots and being strong at the foul line.Winning home league games are key to the remainder of the season.

I'd love to see the ladies go out and get 2 wins on this road trip. Illinois and Nebraska aren't top level and beating them will go a long way to giving the ladies confidence that they can win both home and away. After that it's a much tougher match up with Michigan State and Iowa at home. All of these teams are beatable if the ladies keep playing the way they do.
