I couldn't be at the RAC today, but this team looked really good on BTN. 7 made 3-pointers and 13 (if I counted correctly) steals. It's possible that the extra practice time they're getting since the end of the semester has been helpful. They were playing like a team that realized that Tyler isn't there to bail them out. :)

Very nice to get that first B1G win.

Im surprised that they had those big wins, they didnt look all that good, was there a player out for them. That being said, it was a very good win for Rutgers, Not just any old win which we will take but it was a resounding one and RU dominated throughout, led start to finish, showed they can shoot from 3, showed they could protect a lead, showed they could play defense, showed they could overcome some questionable calls from the refs that seemed to always go PSU's way. Barber was on fire today.

I know its a lost season but hopefully these players gained alot of confidence from this game. I have only seen this team play 3 times live but it appears to be a much quicker team than previous CVS teams, while that necessarily doesnt translate to better offense, I think it lends itself to a bit of a different style if they are hitting their shots. I think RU is severely undersized and thats a killer in the paint and under the boards. I see another very winnable game coming up soon vs Wisky.

Penn State's best player (averaging 20 ppg) did not play today. We took advantage and smothered the team they put on the floor. Great victory, lots of energy on defense although we were crushed on the boards (45 - 23 on the game tracker stats). We shot 48% from the floor, too, with seven 3s and held them to 26% shooting.

Good job, ladies! Happy New Year!

Yes, Penn State's leading scorer was out for the game, which probably made a difference in their play. Of course, we're missing our leading scorer for the entire season.
So true and some Rutgers fans might forget that when critiquing a win and the reason RU won.
