BTN+, noon. Who will start? Also, looked at their roster. Their ladies are on the short side ala Sacred Heart. Question, will they come in motivated after the blowout of SH?

RU up 16-3, 1st time out. Diamond starts out like last game, 3-3 from 3, and they were all net.

Arella's shooting touch is off (Though she's settling for 3-pointers) but she's leading the the team in rebounds, assists, steals after one quarter, so playing solid all around game. Meanwhile, Diamond can't miss and is just an explosive scorer. I would say the team is settling for too many 3-pointers, but when you shoot 5-12 from outside, you can't complain.

23-5 end of 1st. From now on I'm gonna call our Diamond DJ. DH only has 14 1st quarter pys, 4-5 from the three pt line. So quick, and calm as can be. Arella way off so far.

Arella down a long, long time. Helped off. Savino say looks like she ran into the Manhattan player's shoulder with her face. Thinks it might be her jaw that was injured. Right before that said Tekia had jumped up to cheer the team on.
Please, please, please may Arella be OK.

38-21 half. Martino with 2 missed lay ups. Hope DJ is ready to show off with Arella out, as she sat most of 2nd quarter out.

wow, AG comes back out of locker room, not back on the court but looks a little dazed. Thought for sure she would be on her way out to RWJ.

The most impressive thing about this game to me was that even when Arella has a sub par shooting game (not to be confused with a sub par game--she had a triple double after all), this team can still score in bunches.

Obviously, Diamond is just amazing, but Zippy is showing the potential we saw in her all along, and Mael is just a beast athletically who can quietly fill up a stat sheet. Singleton struggled a bit today and Sakima is still figuring it out--that's the last piece of the puzzle. Martino just couldn't buy a bucket and got frustrated, but that's going to happen from time to time.

Overall, a very good team performance; Manhattan was picked to win their conference, and were clearly a few levels above Sacred Heart.

Stat this will make CVS most pleased? 20 assists to just 10 turnovers.

In the post game presser, Arella said she was knocked out for a minute, and then was very woozy. After determining she would be ok to watch the 2nd half from the bench, she figured if she was ok enough to watch , she was fine to play. She said she always want to be on the floor, loves the game, and was aware of the triple double possibility in the 4th quarter. She also said to be prepared for a new hairdo for Iowa on Dec 31, as she's been rocking the green hair braids for too long now.lol

Coach Stringer said that after a lot of thought , she would let the team go home for Christmas, but urged like crazy for them just to stay w their immediate families and to be very very careful. She seemed like she was already second guessing herself.

Next game at Iowa on Dec. 31
