score? Indiana has already beaten Michigan State and Northwestern, tonight is about a must win as you can get for Rutgers if they want to make the NCAA tournament and salvage their season.

The officials are nearly as bad as the teams tonight... Rachel got called for a travel on a play where she took just one step as she dribbled. Oh, and the announcers on BTN"plus" are horrible, too. painful game to watch from any angle.

not looking good, but won't throw in the towel.
Much rather think good thoughts than succumb to the doom and gloom
that is shared at times about the RU WBB program under CVS.

23-11...how embarrassing...11 points to Indiana, this team would have more success just running their own plays..

Unfortunately, I've had enough of this game. And for those who have ever criticized the WRSU announcers... be thankful that you don't have to listen to the Indiana announcers. They are beyond horrible.

This team full of upperclassmen high school all-americans has been greatly underachieving. It is painful to watch these games, and to see how far the program has fallen during the last few years. I have not posted here because I could not log in, and Rivals has been no help to me. This is probably for the best, as I am sure my frustrations would present me in a poor light. I may try one more time to restore my original username and password to gain proper access to the board...it has been extremely frustrating. The only correction that Rivals made was to reassign my nickname to my real name. This is my first post since a month ago and I have been posting here for several years.

31-17 halftime...need a miracle comeback here to salvage the season
A miracle comeback could turn this game into a win from what looks like a sure loss, but it won't take a miricle too salvage this season:
Just play much better could be the key to making this season a good one.
12-8 (9 probably) isn't very good , but doesn't rule RU out of the dance yet if the team starts playing better.
But we all have different ways of looking at things and 4 losses in a row ( including tonight if the ladies lose) doesn't make my optimism look like it should be the rule, but giving up all hope if RU loses tonight might be premature.
Different strokes for different folks and it's how you look at things that makes you a optimist or someone who isn't one.

Madhat...they cant lose this game at all if they hope to do something..there are too many tough games ahead. You cant just keep putting off winning and Indiana is still a second tier team in the Big 10.

Need to complete this comeback

we fell apart just as quickly as we came back. We miss short chippies and Indiana hits threes. Why isn't Tyler shooting the ball??

As bad a game as I've seen in the last few years. We keep doing the same things over and over and expecting a different result.

I can't defend anything at this point.

Never in a million years would I have believed we wouldn't make the tournament this year - wow. We really have gone downhill. So disappointing

Indiana stinks and yet they controlled the game because Rutgers has no offense. The dismal performances on the road continues. The inability to score 60 points unfortunately is becoming the norm .The downward spiral continues because the coaching staff has no answers and the players are performing like freshmen who never played together.A team composed primarily with upper classmen has no excuse for these dismal performances. The NCAA Tournament was a realistic goal a couple weeks ago but now seems out of reach.

Well we have lost 4 in a row and we have zero toughness to suck it up and get after it. Poor shooting missing chippies and just clueless against an average team. I hate to see what next year's offense will be with Scaife as our only weapon. She will need to score 40 a game for us to be competitive.

stick a fork in this season....so disappointing but you could see it coming from that lack of any toughness or urgency all the way back in that ugly meltdown at Seton Hall

The only possible hope is win every home game and get hot in the Big Ten. You cannot win on the road in this league.

It is just sad what this program has become even with decent talent.

Decent talent? We still have 4 McDonald's All-Americans on this team. Put that in perspective. It is more McDonald's All-Americans than 50% of the Big Ten Teams together have ALL had in the HISTORY of their programs.

The only thing that is NOT decent is our Hall of Fame coach.

All Indiana is capable of doing is jacking up threes, so logically the coach plays the whole game in a zone. Inexplicable and inexcusable. Coach Stringer's offense is even worse. The bottom line is...

THESE PLAYERS DESERVE BETTER.

They were in a zone because they play horrible man to man defense. Against OSU when we went man, they went aroun is so fast I was surprised they were not sidelined with stiff necks.

Scaife is the best shooter on this team and she only has two points at half time. How is this possible when Rutgers needs Scaife and Copper to score at least 40 points between them in every game for Rutgers to have any realistic chance of a road win?

You hope. This team is downtrodden.
One should always hope.
Giving up shouldn't be an option .
But if you think the team is that bad, guess it the reasonable choice to give up hope.
I don't think the team is that bad and still am hoping for a dance ticket no matter how bad things look now.

Its time for a change its been time for a few years now lets see how Hobbs handles this since he was more of a basketball guy at Seton Hall

As long as it is done right and not on the cheap, won't argue that it might be time for a new HC to take over.
But need one that can recruit the top HS players without having the basketball facilities that make recruiting HS talent a bit easier.
If Hobbs doesn't give the RU WBB program full support in the hunt for the best available and be willing to pay to hire a quality candidate, you might just see RU WBB turn into the same type of program RU's MBB program is.

Tony Bozella plays his home games in that awful Walsh Gym yet not only has he done wonders there, he took two failed Rutgers players as transfers and they did better than they ever did here.

Can't agree that they were "failed" players at Rutgers. Simmons got more playing time as a freshman than most but chose to leave and go to Alabama before transferring to Seton Hall.

2010-11 at Rutgers: Appeared in all but one game for the Scarlet Knights, making four starts... Averaged 2.4 points and 2.4 rebounds per game... Made her first-career start in a home win over Syracuse... Scored in all but seven games she played in.

Shakeena Richards had a similar situation. She played in 59 games in 2 season at RU before leaving to go to FSU and wound up coming off the bench for them. Along with Essy Davis, she would have seen playing time at Rutgers but chose to go elsewhere.

In both cases, they may have felt that their playing time would be limited with the arrival of Tyler Scaife. Neither of them was a great contributor to the original schools to which they transferred and only as 5th year seniors at SHU did they play well.
