Not bad. I'm surprised to see NC State still undefeated. They must not have played either of the ACC heavyweights yet.

Looking to see which conference is most dominant, the answer is a conference that no longer exists in its previous form - the old Big East, with 7 teams in this week's Top 25.

being ranked is #1 for me right now.
The main goal should be make the NCAA Tourney
Then hope for a good seeding.
Along with a good showing in that tournament.

On the way to the Dance, Rutgers winning will move it up in the rankings, just about, assuring it a spot in the NCAAs and maybe a seeding that gives positive vibes.

My wish is a NCAA bid and not be seeded in the same group with Uconn.

That is correct. Their remaining schedule includes:
Wake Forest (twice), North Carolina (twice), Florida State, Syracuse, Miami, Notre Dame and Louisville. Other than Wake, they all are a challenge.

Don't they have to play Duke? Or were they one of the teams to defeat Duke so far this season.

Oops. I'm confusing men's and women's hoops. They do have to play ND and UL so I guess those games will be their biggest challenges.

well if we are a 4/5 which looks like we are right now..we will be off to the UConn bracket.

Best case would to be pretty dominant and win the Big 10 and wind up a 2 or 3.

Why do you say we'd be off to the UConn bracket--purely because of location? If that's the case, Syracuse could be a good choice for that region as well. For the top four seeds don't they work off the S curve?

Still doing geography I believe. Top 4 go into the closest region for them. Same with the 2nd 4. Through #16. Preference in each group of 4 is by ranking 1-16.

A few years back decided we will almost always be in the UConn Region, not necessarily but possibly at their home if we are not hosting. Avoiding the 4/5 seed would be very, very good, at least in the abstract.

If we are on the same line as Syracuse in the top 16, the distribution is supposedly based on who is closer to Albany. So that would depend if we were above or below Syracuse. At least both have that "story" element that the NCAA seems to love.

they will send us all there...Cuse 3, RU 4...so thats why its important to avoid that 4 and get to a 2 or 3....wouldnt mind the Cuse matchup
