Fab 5 is a stretch. Grant is a probably a developmental piece. Dortch looks like a flat out project

Outside of the handful of recruits that stand out at the very top because they dominate in a multitude of ways, it’s very difficult to tell which kids are going to come in and be able to contribute big minutes as frosh.

Geo did it. Davis is doing it. Jaden Jones and GG both struggled. Some of it probably has to do with surrounding cast and opportunity on the team they join but that’s not everything. Jaden Jones didn’t play good enough defense to beat out the guards on Geo’s frosh team either. Surely he wasn’t getting better looks to dominate on offense with that surrounding cast so… he wasn’t going to have an impact there either (as an example). The short answer is we probably won’t know until they are here.

Grant is ranked at #129 in the ESPN Top 150. All the 4-stars are at 120 or better, so he’s just outside of that.

Dortch and Grant just need to fill a role for now (strong defender, 3 point shooter, etc.). If you can develop one of the 2 into a Mag type role, mission accomplished.

Anybody ?
Someone here saw he apparently isn't playing for his HS this season and there was a thread about us offering a '24 big man, so the speculation has begun. Apparently he's still expected to be here, but we'll see.

Thanks.
Maybe he's injured.
