Let's see what we are made of.

Wisconsin is real good but if we hustle and play defense the whole game I think we should be able to keep it within 18 points.

Best of Luck,
Groz

I think the extra points are because of the home court advantage . If they were playing at RU it would be around 12 - 14 points. I'm going with RU 68- The Enemy 79. Hope it's reversed though.

Wisconsin isn't explosive offensively and is exposed by quicker shooting 3 point type of offensive teams....not RU's strength right now....I know we'll be ready defensively and should rebound the ball better after getting mauled on the glass by SHU.....that can't happen again if RU expects to stay close.

Also, keep in mind alot of our players went home after the shu game and then met in wiscy yesterday. Between jet lag and basically zero practice prep for this game, i think were pretty screwed here

I wouldn't be surprised that Rutgers practiced Sunday night and Monday morning before flying to Wisconsin. This coaching staff will have the team prepared .The question in every B1G game is the ability to score against higher level competition.

Wisconsin is a much tougher place to play than the Rock - just ask Syracuse. I think the point spread is about right for a team picked to finish first or second in the conference against a team that is picked dead last. I think RU can beat the spread if we bring our A game, but it won't be easy. Our shooting will always be suspect, but RU must rebound much better than they did last game and shoot it well from the FT line to have a chance.

Not sure about that. Wisky has the 3 headed monster in Happ, Hayes and Koenig. Wisky certainly has better shooters than the Hall.

agree, I think people see a team that does not look as athletic and says its a better matchup but I think the things that Wisky does on defense is not a good matchup for RU and their offense is going to be tough as well because of 3 point shooting and the big guys inside. RU would have to play a perfect game to steal this one IMO

PREDICTION: If RU finishes with 14+ turnovers, Wisconsin will cover the spread. If RU finishes with less than 14 turnovers, RU will cover the spread.

Really tough match up. I'm happy that our first game after the break is against a much tougher opponent and not one of our more winnable games. They'll have a full week of practice leading up to PSU, a much more manageable games

This is better matchup than seton hall.
No! They may not be as athletic as Seton Hall, but they have a lot more skill. Seton Hall did not shoot well when they were open. Wisconsin is a very good perimeter shooting team. That is a big weakness for RU. Even when our players appear to be going out and defending against the 3, they are bent over with their feet 3 or 4 feet away for the guy with the ball outside the arc.

Outside of Freeman, everyone else plays to defend the drive. That means the the guy with the ball can just go straight up in the RU players face without the defender having a chance to affect the shot. It's no difference from playing off the guy by 10 feet. Every team that we played this year took advantage of that and shot in our defenders face. Most of them shot the 3 very well even though they were not generally good 3 point shooting teams.

Thought RU would beat the spread down 9 under 8 min to go, but once Corey went down the offense evaporated and Wisc pulled away.

Looks like you got it right. We had 11 TOs at the half, then only had one in the first ten minutes of the 2nd half, then turned it over somewhere around four more times. I thing we had about 16 TOs, at least half of them seriously ugly.

The dadika miss was huge. Might have been the most meaningful shot he takes and cost Rutgers "fans" tonight dearly

Rutgers not a darling of degenerate gamblers in our last two outings, I guess.

Well the line got as high as 11.5 against SHU and 20 against Wisconsin. Vegas seems to have figured Rutgers out a little bit since the start of the year. They had 2 or 3 games in a row with no line after the hot start.
