Out of the 4500 D1 players, that’s not bad!Rothstein says "palpable buzz" about roughly 200 players during the summer/fall. Take with a grain of salt.
He made a 3 vs Illinois in b10 tourneyCliff with a face up game. I kind of expect him to be a different offensive player. By his Junior year or sooner I’ll bet he will be making 3s
Two best things about that are, he has the confidence to take it, and that Pike has confidence in him to take it and make it.He made a 3 vs Illinois in b10 tourney
If he can turn into Daniel Oturu...Cliff with a face up game. I kind of expect him to be a different offensive player. By his Junior year or sooner I’ll bet he will be making 3s
If that’s the case, his Jr. Year will be his last at RU. Either the NBA or Oregon…whoever pays more.Cliff with a face up game. I kind of expect him to be a different offensive player. By his Junior year or sooner I’ll bet he will be making 3s
Season gonna make or break on cliff . I expect big things.Cliff with a face up game is dangerous
That’s today’s college basketball. If that’s the case, his Jr. Year will be his last at RU. Either the NBA or Oregon…whoever pays more.
(I get you're joking but) Oturu was a similarly ranked recruit who added to his game from freshman to sophomore year, that's why I made the comparison. Why not Patrick Ewing before his knees ached?
The way everyone is talking about him why stop at 8 to 10?
Pike hasn’t mentioned him in interviews I’ve heard, that’s not a good sign. I expected more his first year given his age and intl experience.Would've been nice to hear something about Oskar.. Something like he's been drilling treys from all over the floor
He’s also been in the program for parts of three years now. Never say never but doesn’t look good. More hopeful that Reiber can show us somethingPike hasn’t mentioned him in interviews I’ve heard, that’s not a good sign. I expected more his first year given his age and intl experience.
Oskar arrived in January 2020....he has been here for a handful of games and practices in 2020, through covid and a frosh year in 2020-21. At most that's 18 months or a season and 10 or so games. Nowhere near parts of 3 seasons. He’s also been in the program for parts of three years now. Never say never but doesn’t look good. More hopeful that Reiber can show us something
Okay, fair enough. Conversely we haven’t heard a peep about Oskar this preseason, and he didn’t contribute last season.Oskar arrived in January 2020....he has been here for a handful of games and practices in 2020, through covid and a frosh year in 2020-21. If kids get beaten out, it's part of the process.....Hyatt is a player that likely takes up Palmquist minutes in the short term. Part of recruiting is getting kids, letting them compete and figuring out if you need to support the roster with upgrades, in case frosh or sophs don't land in the rotation.
To me, Hyatt and Agee are bridge players that can plug in now and buy Mag, Palmquist and Reiber more time to develop and earn their minutes. If one or two fights and earns a role, great...if not 2022 kids or other kids factor into the competition.
Not a surprise based on your style preferences in general. For Pike though, this is probably the best move to open the season. He knows what he’s getting in his returning guys and everyone else on the team besides Agee has 3 years of eligibility so there will be no hard feelings from a chemistry perspective to start out this way.I think the starting lineup is bad news. That’s gonna be so hard on the eyes.
Great news on Jones hopefully he breaks through sooner than later. Mix in some Hyatt and think the offense opens up much better with these two.

Ideally, what happens is this line up gives us stability to open the games and most of the time the combination holds its own offensively until the first round of substitutions and then we get a nice offensive spark. Miller is an interesting wild card in terms of the role he might be able to play.
