Does Cal tighten the rotation already? It's early but with Duke just a few days away does he try a couple line ups that we will use next week. After that I can see us testing more with some of the other non conference games before ultimately going to an 8 man rotation.

No. Everyone plays, gotta see more game time action from all of them to formulate a better opinion.
This. That’s the thing with this years team you’re gonna have to make shots and play hard or the next man is coming in. I’m sure cal has the first couple lineups planned but it’s basically gonna be who’s hot and playing hard.

I personally think Csl plays everyone and will put out multiple groups to see who plays the best together. He has an idea of what he wants to do but will see if anyone steps out of the shadows into the spotlight.

Yeah, I think this game will be about trying out different groups together.

I think Cal is ok sacrificing some effectiveness in all areas of the game to test out these lineups. And if a group is collectively awful on offense or defense--it's good to find it out tonight.

Status? I just hope Cal remembers they are still on the team and their names
They have both been practicing for awhile now, so doubt he forgets them. No reason to rush them. I suspect Toppin at least will get some minutes tonight.

While letting a guy get 29 on you is not the most encouraging thing, I think a lot of people are missing this. We have an entirely new roster and are figuring out how to best utilize it, where Duke's roster is more set as far as who the main players are going to be.

Justin Rowland Tweeted out:

Miles College has had the #1 scoring defense in Div 2 for 3 straight years.

Does that mean they're a great defensive team compared to D1? Of course not. But at least you know it's not some totally scrub D2 team. Should be a decent warm up game leading to Tuesday.

Well hopefully it’s not because they hold the ball until there’s 8 seconds on the shot clock.

If this much talent can't dominate most teams now that we have several veteran guys it won't matter how many five stars we get a year. I mean, why even worry about recruiting anymore. This team may get to the point of being dominate once CJ and Toppin are back and they play together more. Just don't see us having this kind of college basketball proven talent on the team again. It will be interesting to see as the year moves along what kind of excuses there will be if we don't develop now that being too young is not an option.
