Has anyone completed any kind of analysis post early signing date?
I looked at our updated roster (had to guess on a handful whether or not they had one of our 85 scholarships; only counting scholarship players and no analysis on class) and came up with the following:

DB 15
DL 15
ILB 2
LB (Mike?) 6
OLB 9
K/LS 2
OL 13
QB 3
RB 6
TE 5
WR 7

I know I'm off a little these, numbers reflect 83 scholarships.

Initial reaction is I wish we would get Bland. We are really thin at ILB, have a lot of wasted scholarships on OLBs. My wish list is still Gates, his cousin, Parker and the WR from Jersey.

First number that stood out to me was the 15 on the defense of line. That seems to be quite a bit for running a three-man front most of the time.

I wouldnt be to worried about outside vs inside..alot of guys could play both. Barry and honas backed by future ILB miller, hannah and henrich. And snodgrass.

Can really see where they are targeting the high leverage (and hard to find guys). While the breakdown doesn't show it, we have a big class of potential OT's coming in, and a big list of walk-ons augmenting that overall list and playing mostly on the interior of the line

Similarly, the number of Defensive linemen shows our urgency in getting bodies to hopefully fill holes there - partly due to guys who maybe aren't a perfect fit, and partly due to trying to find out who will respond to the S&C the fastest

It will be interesting to see what the mix becomes as we get to steady state a bit more and the talent is closer to what the coaches want. for now, I think filling holes is a big deal
