Probably feels like he was pushed out with Wickline looking over his shoulder. No inside info just pure speculation on my part. I really liked Crook. Very friendly and down to earth.

Part I thought was interesting from the same article was:

FAU: Following our report yesterday that Garin Justice has been retained, FAUOwlAccess reports that Justice will be the only FAU assistant retained by Lane Kiffin.

Good for him. I guess he is doing pretty well as a coach. 11 years back he was part of that 06 Sugar Bowl team. Where does time go?

Justice, Stanchek, Moses, Scheffey, and who was the other Tackle? Imo that was the meanest Oline WVU has had.

because WVU did not need two O-line coaches

Seems pretty elementary to me......but while I honestly don't believe it had anything to do with this decision, I find myself thinking the extent to which his unit was dominated in Orlando didn't do much for his personal cause.

Crook contract is expiring. He was not going to be resigned. Perhaps Wickline will improve the line. If he does then Wickline will move on to another team. That's how it works with assistants at WVU.

See response above about contract expiring and not being renewed. This was in the works before the Bowl game.

Its a sad day losing Crook a native of West Virginia but it shouldn't be surprising that Fluffer holgorsen would choose a wash out overrated Oline coach Like Wickline over a true WV native. Im sure this will come back to bite the Fluffer just like the deforest debacle. The offense wasn't that good this year considering all the starters that came back. It was Tony Gibson's defense that led wvu to a 10 win season.

Lose key Offensive players for 2017 - Skylar Howard, Devonte Mathis, Tony Matteo, Tyler Olosky, Adam Pankey, Rushel Shell III, Dakiel Shorts. Considering what is returning.

WVU will once again be a powerful offense.

The loss of the O Lineman will be bigger than you think. The Oline is the foundation of a successful offense. The running game won't be as good without people to block for them. The receivers won't have as much time to get open. The offense struggled many a time against weak Big 12 defenses it won't be any better next year. Fluffer Holgorsen's offense has always been overrated. Instead of this high flying juggernaut we were promised we got a 1970's station wagon that leaks oil with no hub caps and four bald tires.

Finally.

Wickline will be an upgrade. So tired of seeing a o line with NFL caliber players getting blown off the ball the last 3 seasons.

Dude you are a broken record give it a rest already. WVU decided that Dana was good enough for an extension, so either shut up or find another team to cheer for.

Not sure that info was not given.

What does that have to do with you constantly bashing the program?

Let me know how losing 2 OL starters is destroying the program. Spookycat is nothing more than a scaredy cat

Being the lowest paid (probably the same salary as he had last year) is better than being unemoyed. I think his wife is a lawyer or studying to be one too so same location is a good thing.
