I had forgotten about his accident until I watched that documentary on the college kids that "beat" the Dream Team in the scrimmage where he was interviewed. He was part of that squad. Big lefty that was shooting threes back before that it became the norm.

RIP. He was the one Rodney that torched Iowa in NCAA that I could talk about. The other.. Monroe..I still cant talk about.

I remember our study hall teacher was the band director and wouldn't let anyone bring in the tv cart of glory. I snuck a walkman in and listened to it on the radio. Funny now that you think about what kids are allowed to have in class these days.

Wake game was a Sunday afternoon. I do remember being in 8th grade art class and getting to watch the first round game against NE Louisiana State. Still have a VHS tape of that game because wasn't expecting to get to watch any of it until I got home.

One of the greatest memories of my childhood is the principal coming over the intercom on Friday morning of the 1st round game against Rutgers that year saying school was releasing at 930am due to ice
