West Stanly vs Parkwood
Defending State Champions Monroe who with a season ending injury to their QB has been relying on their defense to win games still should have no problem with CATA. A team who also has lost their QB, but lacks any help from anywhere else like Monroe.
Mt. Pleasant coming off some tough non conference games ending in a beat up record, will start conference against a very down Forest Hills team. Not sure if Forest Hills has lost some players to redistricting that is finally showing up, or getting use to a new coach... maybe a combination of the two. Mt. should come out with a win... big.
West Stanly hosts Parkwood, what looks to be the closest game of the three. Both have played a common opponent in 3A Piedmont. Parkwood with a win and West losing last week. Parkwood started off strong, but has lost two in a row. They have had a week off to get ready though. West has a young energetic coach, who seems to have West turning in a better direction. Ought to be a good one. Tough one to call, flip of a coin and a slight home advantage to West.
