Riverheads is now 4-0 after defeating Stonewall Jackson 4-1 in Greenville Tuesday evening. Senior pitcher Kyle Bishop won his second game in as many outings throwing a complete game one-hitter. Bishop only threw 79 pitches in seven innings. His counterpart, Colton Harlow, threw well enough to pick up the win but untimely errors cost the Generals lefty. Harlow struck out 10, walked only two, and of the four runs scored, only one was earned.

The Gladiators jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the first inning, thanks to two Generals' errors. Chance Staton led off the inning with a walk. Bishop laid down a nice bunt to sacrifice Staton to second. However the throw to first went sailing into right field and Staton came around to score and Bishop wentt to third. After Nathan Brooks reached on the second error of the inning, Ethan Whitehead singled down the first base line, scoring Bishop and giving the home team a 2-0 lead.

Stonewall Jackson scored an unearned run in the fourth to cut the margin to 2-1. Nathan Miller led off the inning reaching on an infield error. He stole second and back-to-back groundouts brought him to plate the Generals only run. Actually, after Miller reached on the error, Bishop got the next 12 batters out, including four on strikeouts, to finish the complete game.

Riverheads added a run in the 5th when Staton led off with a double to right. He moved to third on a ground out and scored the games only earned run on Zach Roberts groundout.

The Gladiators scored their last run in the sixth when Whitehead struck out. However, the ball got by the catcher and the throw went over the first baseman's head and Whitehead ended up on second. Austin Tomlin sacrificed Whitehead to third and two batters later Taz Miller got his second hit of the game, scoring Whitehaed.

Riverheads will host Parry McCluer on Thursday.
