Rival coaches using potentially bad press

Thinking how other coaches can and seem willing to use anything against a rival in recruiting, does anyone think it would be effective for them to use the recent cases of rhabdomyelosis against NU by telling moms they will be "putting their sons in jeopardy by being indifferent as to the dangers" of their extreme workouts or something to that effect?

I wonder if some of those guys would stoop to almost anything when their future livelihood is in the balance. Sounds a little paranoid, but I've heard it said all is fair in love and war, including recruiting "wars". Anybody have any info if anyone used against iowa a few years ago, or (was it) ucla more recently?

That stuff can and will happen at some point, hard to avoid it forever.. I honestly don't think the issue has enough history to be all that damaging.

Info from Iowa, They have flat kick the S--T out of us the last three years. Mike Riley recruits and tells a parent that if you let your son go to Iowa then he will work extremely hard in the weight room which could result in Iowa beating the hell out of us.

Iowa coaches were clearly negligent and tried to quietly sweep it under a rug. Nebraska coaches handled it correctly as usual. o_O

Why would anyone try to steal Iowa’s 2 and 3* players? :)
