His 80's show meant a lot to my family growing up. My dad had his 60's comedy records; mostly just him on the phone. RIP to a comedy legend. His 70's show was good as well. This one hits home. The king of deadpan.

Our family watched the Bob Newhart show also. RIP
The ending to his second show, about the Vermont B & B, where he wakes up in bed with his wife from the first show, is priceless. It's worth a watch if you knew the shows.
And then his appearances on Big Bang Theory were hysterical as well.

I read that they hid Suzanne Pleshette from the studio audience until they filmed so the studio audience would be surprised as well. There is a statue of him sitting on a couch on the pier in Chicago; where the Bob Newhart Show took place.
Was a fan. His 80s show was kind of a comfort watch for me! Rip
Newhart was on Sunday nights, at least at first. So even now, I strongly associate that theme song with not wanting to go back to school.
One of the giants of his profession. Even late in life he stole every scene he was in on the Big Bang Theory.
Bob was terrific. My late mom especially loved his 70s show on Saturday nites. It was worth staying home for. Will miss you sir.
