What is the RU connection between Brandin and Ace Bailey? One of my friends tried to explain it to me but he did not know what he was talking about. He said they were cousins and I know they are not related

In another thread Richie stated:

Ace plays for Athletes Of Tomorrow AAU program, which is ran by Omar Cooper.

Mr. Cooper played basketball at NJCU and most notably the father of former five-star guard Sharife Cooper. Now how is he connected to Rutgers? He has a sister, Te’a Cooper (Current WNBA Free Agent / Tennessee / Newark native) and her godfather is Brandin Knight.

To me it would be very encouraging if there was no preexisting connection at all. That would mean that the staff is now getting ultra elite recruits on campus with only the school and program to sell. Getting this type of athlete on campus should not only happen when there is a connection if the program is to make strides. Doing it without a connection represents the next big step in the development of the program.

We had a similar with Craig Carter and a recruit and it did not work out. Kid was monetarily enhanced by one of the other teams and did not turn out to be the player everyone thought he would be.Had he of come here the board would have killed the coaching staff for screwing up the kid.

Dumb. A connection = better chance he actually comes here.

Where have you been? We have been getting nothing but stud recruits on campus consistently recently. There was a 5 star here like 2 weeks ago with no connection. It's already happening

The connection is obviously a good thing. Any other way to see it is silly

This is a sub-moronic reading of what I wrote. Of course connections are good. But the big guys get the visits whether they have a connection or not. Getting players to visit whether you have a connection or not widens your pool. ***.

Somewhere in there has to be a Kevin Bacon degree.

Try reading my post again. I responded to this point. You must not be following recruiting lately

Your post kind of leaves one hanging in the air. Unclear as to whether you think we are getting 5 star kids to visit without connection or not. Think that prompted Scangg response to you
