As someone mentioned in another thread, the refs felt they couldn’t call fouls on Williams and potentially foul out UTs other big. This was after some bizarre touch fouls to foul out Alexander. Which was after that random technical.

All a part of the Doug Shows makeup call extravaganza, the fans should demand a refund on their tickets.

Alexander is not much of an important player for UT, at least nothing like Williams or Schofield. So Shows decides it will "look" fair and balanced to pick one guy that doesn't really matter to foul out, simply to give the appearance of a fair and balanced effort.

I know it looks like a bad call, but the review shows RT didn't have his feet set, which isn't mandatory if you are in legal guarding position, but he wasn't. Not every call that went against us was bad, although most of them were.

Incorrect Reid was in perfect D position, Williams lowers his shoulder and drives straight into his chest. Your feet don't have to be standing still, he played perfect D to get the charge call. The sideline official was about to call the charge.

Your feet don’t have to be set to draw a charge.

I said that. But that is if you are in front of the offensive player in legal guarding position. You can see that RT is sideways. I don't know why this is such a sticking point for everyone. Not every single call that goes against us is wrong. I hate UT, Williams is a flopper, that crew sucked, Shows sticks it to us whenever he can. But in that play, RT was turned sideways and moved in front of Williams. Yes, Williams's shoulder was dipped a bit, but not in a bull in china shop way. That doesn't negate the fact that RT was sideways and moving.

Then at the very least it should have been a no call. What little contact there was was initiated by Williams.

Wow what a freaking screw job Cal and UK should hire a lawyer and sue the SEC .I'm sure some lawyer group would take it on they're always money hungry! Isn't nothing like video evidence to show that you got screwed over!!!!!

Keldon getting called for the charge was worse IMO. Jump stop and pass to the corner. The guy making a 2 handed chest pass across court charged?

That was not a charge. He didn’t even touch that flopping piece of trash. Also, PJ hit a 3 in the corner that got waved off because of this. Nothing but awful officiating all damn game.

Think about how Reid feels after those calls..

That young man did everything he could to get healthy from his injury so he could enjoy his moment that he came to UK for was taken from him at the hands of a couple referees.

that was an EASY charging call. not even remotely in dispute. And it cost us the game. RT's final foul was also bogus, he never even touched him. The charge against KJ was RIDICULOUS and was a 5-point swing!

Yes, this was an epic screw-job. And shameful. High school refs would have done better

But he dipped his shoulder. They always call that against us.
