Rebrand the NIT

Since the low/mid majors are getting gutted each year with player transfers, maybe change the NIT to the low/mid major championship. That way they have something more tangible to play for than 1-2 games. Thoughts?

Why even play in these games if you’re a mid major and showcase your players to the big boys ?

There’s infinitely better exposure and long term benefit to those schools to just make the tournament and play on national tv even for 1 game

Enrollment goes up at those schools substantially even if they lose by 100
