Ranney School is in Florida for a small holiday tournament; The Battle At The Villages. I had a chance to talk with five-star prospects Bryan Antoine and Scottie Lewis.

Both kids said they're not spending a lot of time focusing on recruiting, they're just kind of letting things take care of themselves right now.

When I asked them which schools they feel have prioritized them this early they were quick to say Florida and Maryland. I asked about Rutgers and they said they're watching what is happening there. They said the staff has been out to see them at practice. They also said Seton Hall has been out too.

Lewis actually caught me off guard when he said "I love Florida," and then started talking about all of the things he likes about UF.

Florida's head coach and an assistant were at each end of the court watching them play.

Ranney lost to Tampa Sickles 63-53. Sickles was more physical and threw a zone at Ranney which they were not prepared for.

They're a couple of great kids, very polite and articulate btw.

Sophomore guard Ahmadu Sarnor is going to be a good pick up for some mid major school. That kid knows how to play

I heard some of those retirees at the Villages have serious game.

Lots of money out there. Villages Charter School campus is amazing. Great athletic facilities. Basketball gym has four locker rooms.
Considering all of the "stories" that have been written and talked about the place I don't think @PaKnight was talking about basketball. ;)

The ranney thing was orchestrated by one of the aau dads. Half the team is playing for ranney and they hired the aau coach who is local and played for Maryland. I feel like this has been nearly a done deal since they were in 6 th grade.

@Russ Wood thanks for the updates as always. Does it seem like these two are looking to play together in college? Or are they doing their own thing when it comes to recruiting?
