Many of us are expecting to see the women get some love in the next rankings list, which I think will be well deserved. I also expect to see Indiana get a lot more than they have been getting after beating ranked MSU today. How come Indiana has not been higher with their record?

Rich, I can't answer that, but I do know that the B1G is wide open and if our women play their game they can win the B1G conference and beat anybody. Of course in this league if you're off one night, you can lose to almost anyone. But like I said if our women can stay within themselves and play their game, they can go all the way in this league. As to Indiana, I think they should be getting more love until we face them and beat them.

Indiana didn't have anything spectacular in their resume. The rankings early are affected by where you start (why some teams "hang around") and the win over UCLA was offset by the loss to Grambling. And beating UCLA wasn't attention grabbing, and that was the best looking win for Indiana today.

Rutgers ranking is largely based on defeating a highly ranked Maryland team on the road.Making foul shots and 3 pointers is the big difference this season along with bench depth .

Close but not quite there. 27th in the AP. Still quite a jump from not even being in the ARVs.

Wasn't Rutgers ranked around this point during last season? IIRC, RU was in the Top 25 for several weeks prior to going into a late-season tailspin that cost us the NCAA bid.
