I just saw the rankings. I predicted after this week we would be in the top 25. Well, we're not, but we jumped to #27, which is still damn good. But there are still questionable teams in the top 25 like 10-4 South Carolina and Cal, but the bottom line is, we need to keep winning and everything will take care of itself. I'm still very proud of what our ladies have accomplished and moving from no votes at all, to being ranked #27 is still hugely impressive.

From 0 points to #27 is a big jump. Just keep winning and things will take care of themselves.

About South Carolina, three of the four losses were to top 10 teams, and the fourth was to Drake. But what matters week to week is what you did most recently, and the Gamecocks were 2-0 with a win over a team ranked ahead of them, so I don't have a problem with them staying in the poll and, in fact, moving up.

I'd expect we move into the Top 25 this week, at least in the AP poll. I think the three teams ahead of us had a loss this week.

Today, #22 FSU, #16 KY, and #13 TN lost. TN has lost three in a row. RU had two road wins. It would be ridiculous for RU not to be ranked in the top 25 tomorrow.

Tennessee probably drops into the 21-25 range but not out of the poll. It's really hard to drop from 13 to out in one week.

Kentucky beat Tennessee earlier this week, so probably the loss to Mississippi drops them, but not by much.

Florida State looks like a good bet to drop out with a loss to an unranked team.

Other teams in the range that matters with losses:

Indiana lost to unranked Ohio State, so they're out of the top 25.

Cal lost to unranked Arizona, and has lost 4 of their last 5, so they should be out.

Arizona State lost to #6 Stanford, probably not enough for them to drop out.

Minnesota lost to Michigan State, and now has lost 3 in a row, so even at #18, they might drop out.

Miami also lost to Clemson in their only action this week, and they were receiving more votes than us.

RU up to #16 in current realtimerpi.com listing.

Rutgers #16, enough (in theory) to be a first and second round NCAA host ;)

Other notables - Drake #14. Wasn’t a bad loss.
Uconn #6 ... when was the last time we were within 10 spots of UConn women’s basketball? Crazy
Iowa #13. Only B1G team ahead of us. Didn’t realize they were that good this year. MSU #25.
