Not pointing fingers towards anyone here, just stating a solid opinion.

The Big10 is a strong Conference, and QB’s have a difficult time getting through a season without getting dinged up.

And Dylan is taking a beating. I have real concerns for him.

It is what it is. Not his fault that his mobility is severely lacking. It’s in the DNA.

There is a new breed of QB's in the Nebraska system that are about to turn the program for the better. This is in no way a slam on Dylan but let's face it our OL can't give him the time he needs to go through all his progressions and he's paying the price for it.

You need a QB who can both run and pass and that's what we are now going to use going forward after Dylan makes a decision to move on or stay one more year which I have doubt he will. I think Dylan wants to play in the league and staying at Nebraska will not help him with a good draft grade, that's a given.

Imho, what we need with multi generations of sucky OLs are an OC and QB that can execute a quick-read quick-pass offense.

Plenty of college and pro teams seem to make it work. And for chunk plays, not merely short passes in lieu of runs.

Speaking of runs, I will say again: We need at least 150 rushing ypg to consistently score against good B1G D’s.

Obviously we still have a LOT of room for improvement.

GBR!!!

DR still gives us the best chance to win. He seems like when he gets in rhythm he plays a lot better. Play calling could be better as well.

“Way better”? How? He had a lot of green in front of him to the right early in the game and I thought he was going to hurt himself diving forward in the turf for a first down. I guess at least he isn’t sliding short of the sticks this year.
He needs to develop a fullback mentality while playing QB. He’s a stout dude and could hurt a corner. IMO Dana needs to have him run more RPOs and encourage him to run it more.

Was last year the first year in like a decade our QB didn’t get injured and miss a game?

And we’ve had some really terrible QB 2s during that time. Think TJ is the first QB2 we’ve had since Joe Ganz that I had any faith in.

If Dylan went down in a game, I wouldn’t want to be the D-Cord of the opponent. Game planning for Dylan and Game planning for TJ couldn’t be any different

And has still taken less hits than Adrian Martinez did through the same number of games.

I do feel that Nebraska is more comfortable with this than in previous years with a backup they trust. Doesn't mean they want him taking hard hits 15 times a game though.

Dylan was the lowest graded Husker on PFF Saturday
Some of that was the center snaps and the wind. It stands to reason that a passing QB’s grade is going to be affected more by those factors than another position. DR and Evans both struggled.

PFF can kiss my ***. I will take a QB that completes 70% of his passes, has a 12-2 TD to int ratio, and has 2 int in 159 passes for a rate of 1.5%. Name one QB that has been better at NU. A sack is better than a pick. Is he holding the ball too long? I have read some people's posts here saying he needs to get the ball out in 2.5 seconds. What WR do we have that can get into his route that fast? Seriously?

PFF is garbage just like the recruiting rankings and the "polls" voted on by the Sam McKewons (nothing personal) and others.

The NCAA football video game making a comeback has made a lot of new CFB experts.

Yet the throw he made to Barney changed the game in our favor.

The only grade for that that matters is W
I agree, just throwing it out there. I am rather enjoying the limited turnover and lack of penalties. Screamed for years that it’s easier to win when not doing that. Our fanbase needs a “degree of difficulty” factored in it seems like

He has a frame for line play.

The worries about Dylan are very valid. If this OL can't figure out pass pro, then we are going to need to rely on backups at some point.
