No clue, but I would guess the University has been putting feelers out for a few months and have it narrowed down, if not figured out already? Just a guess.
I know he already has multiple contracts covering multiple sports, but is it even remotely possible to get Kevin Kugler?
I would assume he would have to take a pretty hefty paycut but Nebraska is rolling in Big 10 money.
Have you heard Kent on the basketball radio lately? Zero percent chance this happens.
He's not quite in Lee Corso territory, but he should not be doing football let's just say that.
I like Kent. Sure he makes some mistakes sometimes but love the energy. Football is so much slower than basketball, I think he'd be fine but agree I don't think they would bring him in. Hope he stays in hoops long enough to see our first Tourney win
I love Kent. I grew up listening to football games in the glory years when they did not televise all the games. I do not catch many basketball games on the radio, but every time I do it is clear Kent's age is giving him some issues following the action.

This is mostly why I said to bring him back. Nostalgia. He’s the voice of my youth. Listening to all the Husker games in the 80s and early 90s on the radio.
Haven’t really heard him on the basketball broadcasts, so, sorry his age has caught up with him.
Lane Grindle has to be an option but I have no idea what he’s making doing baseball.
