I looked around online and couldn't find any info. What is usually the visiting fan section at the RAC? Thanks in advance.

Yup, 212. Used to be surrounded by Rutgers fans, now I'm usually one of the 6 or 7 wearing red in that section, ha ha

I was watching a Duke home game recently and the student section is located on the side of the court opposite the benches. Rutgers should consider that, but, it would be costly and result in a loss of revenue. But, having the louder students closer to the court would be nice.

Many moons ago students were seated behind the RU bench in addition to 108-110. The changed sometime during the Bannon era if I recall.
In fact my freshman year (91-92) some dormmates and I had student season tickets about 8 rows behind the home bench for the bargain basement price of $25 for the year. Was amazing watching the win over UNLV that season from that close vantage point.

(A) Rutgers is not giving up much needed (potential) revenue by sacrificing court side seats and (B) What students?

I think it would be great to have your loud and rowdy students screaming behind the opposing bench.

Things will change....the RAC will be packed again and return to being a horror show for opposing teams. I'm optimistic

There have been numerous opposing fans in 118 this year, and sprinkled throughout the other 100's.

I've sat in 214 for over 20 years and I'm really tired of having visiting fans all around me. Why can't we share the wealth with the opposite side of the arena?

its awful being in 212, I have to move soon

I've got news for you, I'm in 114 and it's just as bad there. There are now so few season ticket holders that opposing fans can go on line and buy center court seats directly from the RU ticket office.

I am not certain revenue would be lost sacrificing court side seats. Sad to say supply for premium RAC seating is exceeding demand for premium RAC seating. You may not be giving up as much revenue as you think. The price charged for the premium seating would go higher. Right now it really can't.

the simple answer to the OP iS "anywhere they want to sit".

back in the day I sat behind the visitor's bench as a student for free. never forget the win over Cuse on NBC.

Now the students that do come are pushed even further back off the endcourt. There is NO student advantage even when in house. Think the court side cushion seats actually have diapers built into them.
