BK- you post as the most rational and probably most connected fan on this board. Hate to ask you but do you think, or have you heard, that Eddie is gone? I understand a decision has to be made on whether to extend him or terminate. Your thoughts?

Imagine if BK says 'Eddie sucks . Staff and players stink ' . Then Eddie is retained it would be odd when BK tried to schedule's Eddie for a court club meeting .

what he can't or won't say would be more telling than any carefully crafted reply.

Moderating this board is just a small part of the total equation as it relates to my relationship with the program, and athletics at RU in general...but it often times is the most important.

I'm one of the few people that remain optimistic no matter what grim or gray prospect seems to be facing the program...because the root cause of me being a fan in the first place, especially at the level I go in for, is to support the young men that wear the uniforms and represent RU on and off the floor.

We have a great collection of young men on this team....kids that deserve better than the results thus far. Everyone is frustrated, nobody likes what's going on.

I have gotten to know Eddie well enough to understand he means to see this through...to turn this around. This isn't just a paycheck for him. Anyone who knows him realizes that this is serious stuff for him on a personal level.

Whether that is enough for him to ultimately succeed in this reclamation project only time will tell. The fact that he wants it is all I need to see to continue to throw my support behind the program. To do otherwise is contrary to my nature and, in my opinion, does far more harm than good when it becomes widespread and reckless like it is now.

I'll be in the stands Thursday, up at Michigan and Michigan State next week, and at every other game this season in solid support of Coach Jordan and our kids. End of story.

If you meant fan and loyal supporter of this program which is hard to be, then without question he is the best.

Sorry the type on screen tonight is light and didn't catch the typo. Clearly giving BK the props he deserves.

God bless you BK. it seems irrational to me based on what i see, but that is what being a fan is all about.

I hope you are able to find some enjoyment in all of this losing.

Not just losing but non-competitive losing. At this point the margin of loss of individual games is not the issue given the active roster. It's more the state of the program and the lack of any significant improvement in individual play or just basic skill development. And there is recruiting. Kudos to BK. if ever he could rationalize not traveling now would seem to be the time.

you have to laugh when Foreman has to guard Purdue's 7 footer off the bench because their is no one else. heck, I wish Rudy Manne was here to help. He was at least 7 foot. And BK you are a great fan.

Brian is a great fan, no question. He's also a smart guy and if he was forced to drink truth serum he knows it's over for this regime.

Thanks Brian for everything. You are the truest fan we have probably ever had. I really hope this can begin to improve. It is an uphill battle but miracles do at times occur. Hopefully Thursday will be a more competitive game.

BK, despite the losing, manages to continue to support he program because he believes in the kids, and whether or not Jordan's efforts will be good enough to be successful, believes he is deeply cares about turning the program around.

I couldn't commend him more.

BK supports all of our players, and supports our HC's until such time as they are replaced. Then he transfers his support to the new HC. It is called loyalty.
Message boards are notorious for forming lynch mobs--some years ago, one formed in Syracuse, believing Jim Boeheim had given all he could, and was now outdated. That was one NCAA championship ago. Personally pessimistic about EJ's chances to succeed, which pains me since he was my favorite player on that 76 team. Really thought Mike Rice was the guy--young, coaching a successful mid-major team, but you can take snippets of any D1 coach, including Coach K, John Wooden--you name it--splice them together and make him look like an ogre. But don't listen to me--I didn't want to fire Gary Waters.

I am curious. Outside of this board, are there other BK's?

You look at a program like Kentucky and there are probably hundreds if not thousands. Winning will do that.

Is BK a unicorn or there a few other guys who go to these lengths?

I have said it before and I will say it again. When I saw BK at the St. Mary's game 3000 miles away during another lost season for RU I knew that this guy was in a class by himself. And the main reason I want this damned crap pile of a program to finally get over their self inflicted wounds.

Guys...

Thank you for the props, but they aren't necessary. The original question was a fair one. Despite what some think of the situation, I've heard nothing to suggest that EJ will not be the coach here next year at this point...nor do I expect to.

I realize that some view what my wife (yes, she is with me EVERY step of the way...something I'm eternally grateful to her for) and I do with the road games as insanity. I consider myself blessed to be able to do it. It's never a trial, never a chore...and we always find a way to find positives in both the game and and the journey.

I don't know if there are others that do what we do. I recall recent stories in papers and on websites about fans going to football games for an entire season, about the money they spent doing it and complaining about it or looking for some sort of medal of Honor. I read that and laugh, because they totally miss the point of being a fan of college athletics.

I want a winner here just as much as ALL of you...I'm just not as worried about when it happens. If and when the stars align for RU hoops...I hope I'm still there behind the bench rooting them on.
