If he does visit again. Will there be a way for BBN to really show him some love? Like be crazy for once bring some energy?

Probably think I’m trolling but I’m being serious. I didn’t know if another visit meant quick meeting with Pope or he was going to be around Lexington..

Stokes agent is shopping him around to several teams. From what was reported UK at present, is the highest bidder. Vanderbilt, from the article I read is somewhat of a player as well. According to the article Stokes agent reached out to Arkansas, asked them to match their highest offer because Stokes would like to play for Cal. The offer from Arkansas was a max 1 million plus anything he could make through personal endorsements. All of Arkys players make between 700,000 and 1 million. A great player can make a killing through their affiliation with businesses, like Tyson. I think it comes down to UK and Vanderbilt, just from reading that report. Who knows, the report may be inaccurate as hell.

I don't blame the agent or the kid honesty. CBB id a billion dollar business, once you started paying players, this was always going to happen, just like in the NBA

Don't take a kid to a damn horse farm again, take him to a nice club, and get him f.ucked like Pitino would do. You have to learn something from these hall of fame coach's, come on this is 2026, a horse farm or race track is a fkn turn off, unless your giving him a horse worth millions, and the farm.

Exactly! The days of a thousand rubes meeting him at the airport being the clincher are over. He won't come hete because of the "greatest fans in the world," the "tradition" dating back to the 1940s, etc. purely about money

But we got the money. I was just saying…. Kids like to be shown extra love and attention… he’s the type of recruit you show out for. Laughing at the thought is fine also.

Well, that is what I originally thought, especially with his disciplinary track record in high school. But there is more smoke out there than you would figure if he were such a Kansas lock. He definitely seems like a player Cal would go after. Byington has a lot of resources at Vandy too.

I like where your head is at OP, but if the reported $6 million doesn’t close the deal, I’m not sure some sparkler waving fans would have an impact.

Bottom line, he knows UK’s offer, he knows everything about the coach/ staff and the school, so there’s absolutely no reason to entertain him again unless a verbal/ signed commitment is made before hand…

Anything else, and he’s just using Pope to shake KU down for more $$$!

Hey according to Stein he said point blank that kids still like to be recruited so your not far off . Just no horse farm visit lol. Maybe a couple of babes to show him around.

Exactly, find some chicks that will smoke his corn and let him "find" a pillowcase full of cash. That's what he wants.

I always hated when I saw Pope at Keeneland or the Derby with a recruit. Let one of the players show him a good time. I couldn't imagine spending a day with Pope. Wth would you talk about that long lol

always felt like he was more there for himself and not the recruit.

Stokes is the kind of guy that would think a bunch of people “showing love” were a bunch of corny goobers .

Possible for sure. I think he would appreciate it tho. I’m one to believe of course they all want the money and will get it. That’s why the others things are just as important imo. He would probably think it’s cool if UK fans treat him like a celeb while Bill Self leaves him hanging.

or he could be like fkn losers lol
