Question about east stadium?

I haven't sat there since the 1978 OU game but have tickets in the balcony in section 103. I'm taking my brother along but he has a bad knee. He's concerned there are many steps. Are there ramps or an escalator to get up to that level? Anyone have a picture.

B4 the upgrade they had a lot of steps.to get to those seats. Now I dont know. Would like to be more help.

I look down from my vantage point in 607 and I see a lot of people walking up from field level which I would have thought there was a better alternative. That's what I like about the 600 level. Escalators

I sat in that section for NIU. It was a combination of narrow steps and ramp.

There may be another more accessible option that I’m unaware of. There’s an elevator in that area but not sure how it would lead to that section.

I don't think that access has changed for the balcony, the escalators and elevators are for the new upper sections.

Yes as far as I know and I haven't explored everything but I think the escalator only goes to 600.…..on the way up. But then after the game seams like every section floods the escalator

I helped do seat backs in East Stadium last year and the year before, so I know the area pretty well. To get to the East Stadium balcony, you go up a ramp that takes you about halfway up, then a set of stairs. That takes you to the top of the lower sections of East Stadium, then you go up another small set of stairs to get to the balcony level.

The only thing I can think of is there are suites just above the balcony that have some stairs that come down to the balcony level. I think there are elevators to the suites, though they are only for people with a suite. You might be able to call and see if they would grant you special dispensation to use those for that purpose. I'm not saying they will or they won't, I honestly have no idea, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to at least ask. You would still have to walk down some stairs to get to the balcony, and back up later, but it would still be an improvement.

Call and ask about handicap access. They have to accommodate you somehow !!!

Thanks so much!!! I will definitely call and ask for a special dispensation. I love that word as I studied it in seminary. Your info has sure shed light on the situation. I'm sure the stadium officials will help us out. I think if we can get up to the suites above the balcony then we only have two rows to walk down to get to our seats. That would work perfectly. Now on to a big win over the Buckeyes.

I sit in the East balcony. Section 111. There are elevators going to that level if you need them. One on each end. Otherwise, it's a lot of stairs.

Thanks men. I did call the ticket office. They will give me a pass to use the elevators to the suite level. All one has to do is ask. Thanks too to the ticket office to help in a time of need.
